Lack of Transportation Restricts Opportunities
CAATCRCC remains committed to provide reliable access to those programs and services which promote health and independent living. Operations in Lineville and Roanoke, AL include both fixed route and demand services on a year round, five day/week basis. Drivers provide door to door personalized assistance. Typical destinations include doctor appointments, treatment centers, dialysis, clinics, healthcare facilities and shopping venues. CAATCRCC also provides Talladega County residents with vouchers for transportation assistance through the Areawide Community Transportation System (ACTS), while Calhoun County residents are also able to use the ACTS buses in their area, but also, they can receive vouchers for the Trolley System.
CAATCRCC’s value to the community has evolved to serve three major functions: keeping a watchful eye on elderly customers’ well-being, directing riders to community resources and helping to preserve their quality of life. Without a public transit system, rural residents are vulnerable in many ways. CATCRCC offers low cost effective, dependable, courteous services in all types of weather conditions to those who might otherwise remain isolated.
The success of CAATCRCC is due in part to the collective experience of its staff. They have maintained an excellent relationship with providers and the general public. The drivers are experienced professionals. Their dedication is demonstrated by the active part they play in assuring that vehicles are properly maintained, and by their impressive lengths of service.
You want to work and your family needs the income. You want to attend class to create better opportunities. You may want to accomplish many things but, without transportation, you can't get far.
